For Nurses... Random The Nurse Curse December 27, 2014March 12, 2016 Adventures of a Labor Nurse 7051 Views 2 Comments child, core, curse, delivery, labor, maternal, nurse, nursing, OB, obstetrics, pregnancy, pregnant If something is going to happen, it will happen to a nurse, or to someone in her family. If we bring food to work for a party, no one will get to eat. If anyone says the word ‘quiet’, the whole unit will go to hell in a hand basket. If we buy new scrubs, we will get blood or urine or poop on them the first day we wear them, or we will gain 5 pounds in a week and they will not fit as well by our 3rd shift. If we wait for the elevator instead of taking the stairs, it will go slow, we will have to stop on every floor, and we will be late. If we don’t wear panties to work, we still start our period. … Or so I’ve heard 😉 The second you think you know what a doctor will do, they will do the total opposite :/ If you stay after your shift to deliver your patient, she will still be pregnant an hour after your shift should have been over. The nurse that you ALWAYS work for will NOT be able to work for you when you realllllllllly need to switch. Uhhhh, yeah—it’s the same everywhere 😃 Until my next delivery ❤ Be a part of a delivery and share with friends:PrintTumblrFacebookTwitterLinkedInPinterestRedditLike this:Like Loading... Related

And of course, all the women are in active labor and need their epidurals immediately !!!! Reply
