Everyone Wants to be a Labor Nurse For Nurses... Nursing Humor Random JJ Watt Does Labor and Delivery September 19, 2014March 21, 2016 Adventures of a Labor Nurse 10584 Views 7 Comments delivery, JJ Watt, labor, obstetrics When my patient looks like this I know she’s in active labor. This is what my patient does when I tell her I need to perform a vaginal exam… This is how my patient’s family comes running into the room (like they’re going to miss something), and I have to break the news that the patient is only 4cm…and she has to get to 10cm … and it will be awhile before she delivers… This is what an AROM looks like when the mom has polyhydramnios. I don’t get wet, ’cause I’m like a ninja. The resident on the other hand has to change their scrubs 😉 This is how I feel when the provider calls a section for failure to progress, I put the patient left lateral and get the patient ready for her section reeeaaaaaaal slow and she delivers. In the bed. Intact. Without a doctor :/ (oh well, they’ll make it there for the placenta). My patient grunted like this right before she delivered and I scrambled to pull the emergency cord to get a provider…but it was too late :/ This is how the dad looks when he sees the baby for the first time 😃 This is how I feel when I leave work after back-to-back deliveries… Okay, so football in my house is soccer (I’m married to a Brit). But my work wife loooves JJ Watt. She has to be his biggest fan. So this is for her 😃 I may not know what position he plays, but I have to say…what little I know of the guy makes me kind of like him too ❤ p.s. I really do love the residents I work with. Shout out to Dr. B! 😃 Until my next delivery ❤ Jennifer Lawrence Does Labor and Delivery Be a part of a delivery and share with friends:PrintTumblrFacebookTwitterLinkedInPinterestRedditLike this:Like Loading...
