The Beauty of OB

JME Portraits-C2

My newest article makes me so teary! Isn’t this why we do what we do?!? Isn’t this why we come back day after day? We all know the work can be difficult and draining…but this makes it all worth it!  I’m so grateful that people see the work we do as nurses.

Great article! You’ve written what all of us working in L & D feel. So many times people say “oh, what a fun job you have!”. That’s true. The birth of a baby and a new family never fails to bring tears to my eyes. But, sometimes, as you so eloquently wrote, it is not all fun and games. The sad cases help me to stay grounded and never take anything for granted. I can’t imagine doing anything else – as labor nurses, I think we have the best job ever.
